A letter from the president:
“Old Army Gentlemen’s Society (OL’ AGS) is a leadership, service, and social men’s organization at Texas A&M University. Since our founding in 1995, we have been committed to being “Aggies First” and worked towards the continued improvement of ourselves, our fellow students, Texas A&M, and the community of Bryan/College Station. Everything our organization does is guided by the five core values that we as members all share: Accountability, Honor, Humility, Integrity, and Passion. The membership of the Old Army Gentlemen’s Society is comprised of approximately seventy five campus leaders who are considered the “best of the best”. OL’ AGS past and current members have included yell leaders, student body presidents, MSC presidents, Maroon Coats, Heads of Fish Camp, CARPOOL, Muster, and Traditions Council, and other gentlemen who serve Texas A&M through a variety of positions. We have both brought leaders together from across campus and reached out in service to the surrounding community through our service projects and philanthropies. Through our two main philanthropies, Sausage 4 A Cause and our annual Powder Puff tournament, we were able to raise over $12,000 and look forward to breaking that record again this year. The admissions schedule, organization news, pictures, and member contact information can be found on this website by clicking the above links. Thank you for your interest in our organization and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.”
-Chris Schuett, President ’11-’12
In the words of Chris Cochran, Class of ’97, “The key to OL’ AGS is that every member was individually outstanding prior to joining the group. They didn’t need OL’ AGS to be popular, respected or liked…they did that on their own”.
