OL’ AGS Annual Powder Puff Flag Football Tournament
OL’ AGS largest and highest grossing philanthropy event is its annual powder puff tournament. Every fall semester, OL’ AGS hosts the Old Army Gentlemen’s Society Powder Puff Football Tournament. Teams are comprised of sororities and women’s organizations. This past year 16 teams competed in the tournament. The tournament is traditionally held at the Texas A&M Penberthy fields and is open to the general public. Tickets can be purchased before or at the event.
This year, 300 participants competed in the event, with over 500 supporters in the stands. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the Head Start education center in Bryan, TX. At final tally, OL’ AGS raised over $11,000 for Head Start in 2010.

Head Start is an amazing national program that promotes early childhood development for economically disadvantaged children through education. The center provides a place for local pre-school aged children to get the best start possible in life by preparing them socially and educationally.
